11th International Collegiate Snow Sculpture Contest (2019)
4th to 7th January, 2019, Harbin, China
The 11th International Collegiate Snow Sculpture Contest (2019) will be held in HEU from 4th to 7th January, 2019, organized by National Instructive Committee of Industrial Design Education, Ministry of Education, and hosted by Harbin Engineering University (HEU). This event is aimed to expand the impact of ice and snow culture, disseminate snow culture of Harbin, improve the level of snow sculpture creation of college student teams, and to build it as a winter culture brand event for collegiate students. The detailed information is as follows:

5. Participation Requirement
Only the registration in the name of institution can be accepted. And each institution can only have one team registered.
6. Registration and Arrangement
(1) Registration materials
i. Please fill in the “11th International Collegiate Snow Sculpture Contest(2019) Team Enrollment Form” and name it by “Application Form_University Name”;
ii. Please provide an A4 size sketch or sculpture model photos (two photos of different angles) in the format of .jpeg within 3M in size, with the two photos named by “Draft-design_University Name_Sculpture Name(Chinese)”; and provide a brief description of the design within 200 words in the format of Word(.doc/docx);
iii. Please provide a picture of university logo within 3M in the format of .jpeg, and the background should be white or clear, and please name the picture by “University logo_University Name”;
iv. Please provide a group photo of team members with the background of the front gate of the university or college, within 3M in jpeg, named by “Team Photo_University Name”;
V. Please provide one-inch photos of each coach and team member with a size of 27mm×38mm and a resolution of no less than 150ppi, named by “University Name_Coach/Team Member_Name”

7.Rules of Contest
(1) The contest consists of professional contest and amateur contest. In professional contest, each team, consists of 4 members, will be provided with a standard snow block (3m. in width, 3m. in height and 3 m. in length)
In amateur contest. each team. consists of 3 members, will be provided with a small snow block(2m.in width, 2m.in height and 1m. in length)
Each team could only attend one kind of contest, professional or amateur
(2) Please consider the factors such as work load and weather when selecting team members. Once the contest begins, no team member is allowed to be changed. Any special conditions needing staff adjustment, please contact the secretariat of the contest.
(3) Works participated should be your original designs. Plagiarism is prohibited, and it will lead to disqualification of committed teams
(4) The block of snow should be sculpted on all four sides. No colorants, electric tools or precision measuring instruments can be used. No supports may be used in, or on the final sculptures. No waste residue snow is allowed within the scope of 1 meter of the snow works.
(5) Working time of the contest is from 7: 00 to 21: 00 every day.
(6) The host will provide a ladder for each team. The teams are suggested to prepare tools by themselves. If they need tools from the host, please specify in the registration form.
(7) Once the contest begins, any change of the original design is prohibited without the committee's permission.
(8) The organizers have the final right of interpretation to the competition.

9. Expenses
(1) Conference fees and registration fees are not charged.
(2) Catering and accommodation during the Contest will be provided by HEU
